County Clerk has one of the most diverse jobs of all county elected officials. In fact, constitutional and stautory laws have given this one elective county officer five distinct titles: Clerk of the District Court, Auditor, Recorder, Clerk of the County Board of County Commissioners and Chief Elections Officer of the County (County Resource Manual, Idaho Association of Counties). The County Clerk also oversees the County Assistance office. In Jerome County , there are 15 deputy clerks who work in the various departments under the Clerk. In the role of Auditor, the Clerk is also responsible for preparing the annual county budget for approval by the Board of County Commissioners.

*We ask that public business is done prior to 4:30 pm if possible. Doors are shut at 4:30 pm to allow time for employees to close out the day. Doors are not locked until 5:00 pm.
